Personally, I don't think this is such a good idea. The main mailing list
is fine, if only there'd be someone who maintains a proper FAQ so that
newbies don't ask too many questions, which I think is the main problem.
The guiding "experts" will not stick around on a list just to answer
questions by newbies just for the fun of it. The list as it should be
sufficient. If the newbies don't have the guts to try asking a few stupid
questions every now and then, then I guess that's their problem. And I
don't think the experts are going to start flaming newbies on that, on the
contrary it seems that the experts already are pretty forthcoming with
thier knowledge. I feel there's no need to create a specific list for
newbies.
