Yes, i have it running on several production boxes. I've had 2 FS
corruption incidents out of around 6 installations. And in both cases,
the problem could be attributed to hardware. In short, if you've got bad
hardware (or slightly failing), it will amplify that to a point where the
entire FS will be in need of reinitialization. Don't use reiserfsck, it
will only trash your FS even more.

Ext2 can be more forgiving at times, and you will just see subtle errors
and wranings in the logfiles. With reiser, a bad node/leaf may cause the
server to reboot!

Full journalling, nmeaning no more fsck on unsafe shutdowns. Also the
btree+ algo of storing data makes it a lot faster for applications like
squid and inn.

problems interoperating with NFS, RAID5, and you need to reformat to move
over to reiser. This in stark contrast to migrating from ext2 to ext3.

Use a distro that supports reiser: SuSE or Mandrake 7.1++ Install using
reiser will be a breeze, just like ext2.

If you're wishing for the days when you could just turn your PC off, well
happy days are here again! But even just to be always on the safe side, i
still shutdown properly.

yes. But its not yet in the mainline kernel of linus+alan. You need to
'patch' things up for it to work.
