My PC crashed:
PIII-500
64 MB RAM
10GB HDD
I have 5 partitions (1 for linux) and 2 OSs (Win98SE and Linux RH6.2). The
LILO is installed in second partition not in MBR. I formatted my C drive.
And I deleted the C drive with out deleting the succeeding drives using
WinNT installation disk. That was the start of my problem. The following
happened:
1. I cannot access my Linux OS.
2. I cannot reinstall any Microsoft OS, except for the system file of Win9x.
3. I cannot remove the LILO.
I did the following:
1. Reinstall Linux but I couldn't access it using boot disk.
2. Tried to reinstall NT and Win98 but every time I boot up my computer, the
LILO would appear and boot directly to windows. It cannot find any OS since
I just did the fist step of installation, copying of installation files to
the HDD.
3. I used WinNT to delete all partitions including Linux. But the LILO is
still there.
I am sure that once I remove the LILO I can reinstall everything I want to
my PC. But how do I remove the @!#$%^%%^$ LILO?
HEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance,
Leo
