I've been using Slackware for almost a year (version 7.0 & 7.1) but I didn't
encounter that problem.
I've installed on many machine (K6-2, Duron, P133, PII, PIII with different types
of hd scsi/ide) and do the same thing (c:\fdisk /mbr) and it really deletes my
lilo.
Maybe its time to check your hd for some trouble.
