LI  The first stage boot loader was able to load the second stage boot
    loader, but has failed to execute it. This can either be caused by a
    geometry mismatch or by moving /boot/boot.b without running the map
    installer.

Is your disk a seagate using DiskManager, DiskWizard or the like?
You could also check if your boot partition is completely under cylinder
1024, in which case, your BIOS is at fault.
The Large-Disk HOWTO at  /usr/doc/HOWTO/mini/Large-Disk may have something
to say about LBA or sector remapping.
