I agree. My only annoyance is that there are some UI quirks that violate
the law of least astonishment. For instance, clicking on a bookmark on
the sidebar causes the bookmark to be opened in another open window rather
than on the window the sidebar was clicked. Also, it inconsistently
handles GTK+ themes. The blasted thing's scrollbars and widgets within
the main program look like Windows in the classic theme. However, widgets
within web pages look like whatever theme I set up with GTK+. I love the
work on Gecko though. Everything seems to load faster and cleaner than
ever before.
And how big is the Java plugin anyhow? I have the blackdown.org JDK 1.2.2
installed on my machine (which of course includes JRE 1.2.2) which they
said I need, but I got a message that says it's about 18 *million* bytes
in size! That's as big as the JDK itself (not the JRE!). There must be
some mistake.
