ok, ok... i volunteer to answer any fielded debian questions. but i will
have to admit that i am no expert. i may have been using linux much longer
than most of plug members have, but like anyone who's been in the *n*x
environs learns after years, there is always something new to learn about
*n*x from fellow *n*x users. the whole point of a users' group like this
is to learn from each other as we share our problems and solutions. so
there's my mouthful.

of course, it's understood that all the "gurus" in the newbie list will
try to answer questions even outside the domain they volunteered to take
responsibility for; their main task as "domain specialist" though is to
ensure that no question that falls in their domain is left unanswered.

can i volunteer to be the caretaker for crack, culture and clues? hehehe
(er... crack not to be miscontrued as cracks... it's intended to be
ambiguous anyway)
