Anyody interested in managing a web portal for Linux/Unix topics?

TerraShare.com (competing with about.com and Suite101) is still looking
for someone to do the job.

You must be very knowledgable about Linux and able to write clear and
interesting reviews of web sites which you will research.

The job requires you to spend some up-front time putting together a
site taxonomy, collection of links to sites and articles. After that you
will maintain it, adding both links and original articles regularly.
Estimated time commitment is 5-10 hours a week with deliveries of content
over the web, of course.

Yes, there is a small stipend - enough to pay your isp bills, perhaps.
But this is something you should do more for the love of linux and because
you've always thought you could do a better job than the people that do
the other guru sites.

Why am I not applying? Well, I don't think I'm qualified. But I did sign
up to run the Science for Kids portal for them and am impressed so far
with their style. This seems to be an interesting mix of people with
widely varied backgrounds. All indicators make me feel that this is a
for-real effort that will go somewhere.

Go to www.terrashare.com and look in the Guru Team link.

If you do apply, please tell both them that Bob Williams sent you and me
that you applied so I can do the same. Yes, I get an incentive for
getting them another guru, if you make the grade.

And for the record...no promises here, caveat emptor, etc...I have just
started working with these people so I cannot promise that all will go
well for you, or me for that matter. But it looks like a good thing.

I wish you well.
