For most internal modems, you can forget they exist if you live under
Linux.  The vast majority of these are "Winmodems" and require
proprietary drivers that only exist for Windows.  Fortunately some
models have been reverse engineered and working drivers exist, see
http://www.linmodems.org/, but best of luck to you on this... it's
generally not a trivial thing to do.

And by the way, Mr. Sabater... if you want to post to the list, please
do not do it by replying to your digest.  Or if you want to do it that
