Addendum: that "256MB/500MHz/1GB" requirement that I mentioned is for
*development* Of course for production you'll want more.. much
more. :)

Actually, you can get by with as little as 96MB/233MHz/1GB (I know I did..
long long ago in a galaxy far away where GNOME didn't exist) but nowadays
memory is so cheap that  you should have as much as possible.

Oracle is such a memory hog (even more if you use Apache/mod_perl which
BTW is *bundled* with 8.1.7 -- take THAT, Tcl zealots!! :) that memory is
your biggest performance enhancer. Screw the CPU, screw the disk. Get as
much memory as you can afford (hmm... 1GB at PCX is now just.. 15600
pesos).
