dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/hdb

copies bit for bit the hard disk /dev/hda into the second
drive /dev/hdb.  The two disks have to be exactly the same size (same
geometry...preferably the same model) for this to work. I used this
technique to clone the hard disks for our Internet cafe once upon a
time...

It can take a while though, be warned!
