put your redhat CD no. 1 on you CD drive

# mount /dev/cdrom
# cd /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS
# rpm -ivh ucd.snmp.4.1.2-8.i386.rpm
# rpm -ivh ucd.snmp.utils-4.1.2-8.i386.rpm
# umount /dev/cdrom
# setup 

then select System Services and check the snmpd or snmpd
