The equinox modem board seems to be a good product (i've used it).  It's a
PCI card that has 8 modems on board.  No need for multiport boards, serial
cabled, and external modems.  You just plug in the phone jacks to the back
of the card.  Really neat and no messy serial cables, adaptors to deal
with.
