The best way, if they are lab classes anyway, is administrative. I
believe this is also the best way to keep people from surfing for porn
(a much harder task at the low level than keeping people from using
Napster). Make them understand that such usage is frowned upon. If
it's a lab class then the teacher who's handling it ought to be smart
enough to figure out what his or her students are doing and take
appropriate disciplinary action.
If a;; you want to do is just conserve bandwidth, then I think a better
way would be to traffic shape all connections to and from the official
napster servers. You should be able to do this easily if you have
access to your routers.
