Kabayan, try to find the the DNS domain database file
(e.g. filename.hosts), it contains the resource
records. Usually it reside at the /etc directory, be
sure before putting hash or comments on this file  you
should stop the backgroung process of the BIND program
(# /etc/rc.d/init.d/named stop or #
kill -9 PID  (PID of named).
