hi there ppl. when i type the command < free > then it outputs my memory status... when i look at the shared memory , it is zero. so when i startx it used lots of memory . and my free memory is almost gone. the linux verion installed is mandrake 8.0 . i got a redhat 7.0 installed in another harddisk. and the shared memory is functioning thats why when i startx it didn't use lots of memory. -----what will i gonna go ? -----how will my shared memory in mandrake make it function? any advice pls. thanks everyone. till then, �jonesong� __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
