hi. for those interested...my inbox for one of our servers was ~5000
messages and imap service didnt skip a beat. finally, after accumulating
so much plug and ph-isp traffic, i'm deleting everything. i'd just would
like to say for the record that i'm quite amazed how much performance
increase maildir has over mbox. page rendering of IMP has been
consistent...while that of a UNIX /var/spool/mail based machine
degenerates radically, depending on hardware. yun lang. =)

the box is a cyrus-imap, ldap, and postfix combo mail system. am working
on courier right now and just abt to deploy.
