Setting up a mail and web server is quite trivial.  You probably have
all the basic info right there on your linux box.  Start looking in
/usr/doc.

If you're setting up this services for your intranet, you should be
fine.  However, if you're planning to be permanently connected to the
internet, it would probably be wiser to simply get an ISP to do all
those things for you.  Minimum maintenance on your part and most
probably higher availability.
