Guys, I just installed Linux Mandrake 8 in my new PC that has the following specifications: Intel Pentium III 800 Mhz 256 MB SDRAM PC 133 Diamond Stealth III S540 32 MB 4X AGP Accelarator Seagate 20 GB HDD 7200 RPM Barracuda Magtron 15' SVGA Color Monitor 1080 x 1024 Non-interlaced Everytime I use X Window particularly Gnome and Window Maker I always hangs-up after a couple of minutes using it. I choose XFree86 Version 4.x not the current stable 3.3.x. My monitor (Magtron) also is not in the list of monitors' lists including the Generic for Non-interlaced 1080 x 1024. So I just choose Generic 1024 x 768 Non-interlaced. But the driver for Diamond Stealth III S540 is in the list. What is really the problem? I hope you can help me solve this problem.
