I have a samba 2.2.0 as PDC with w2k clients. I am having problems running programs like WinEdt sa w2k dahil yung mga domain users hindi pwedeng mag edit ng ini files. I suspect na yung mga domain users (authenticated by samba) is by default "restricted users" sa w2k. what im planning is to include these users in a certain group say ntpowerusers tapos i add ko na lang sa lahat ng workstations na maging member ng local "Power Users" si ntpowerusers group. I was able to solve the problem of not being able to write/modify in files by including the line below sa smb.conf domain admin group = @ntpowerusers syempre ibig sabihin lahat ng nasa group na yon domain administrator. Meron bang way para hindi naman ganoon ka powerful yung mga normal users? Meron bang way para makita ko sa win2k yung ilang groups na nakalagay sa /etc/group? say ntpowerusers.
