Hi everyone,
I just got my PLDT DSL installed today. It was a breeze, and now my
connections is (at least to my puny little mind) fast. I'm downloading
from LinuxISO.org and iptraf reports the link doing 340kbps inbound. Not
bad considering I have a 256kbps downstream 128kbps upstream package.
Because we are a company (we got the SmallBiz Jr package that costs
P8k/mo), we are not covered by the MyDSL packages. I just found out now
that the ADSL of the corporate packages do NOT use pppoe. Because we get 5
static IP addresses for this package, configuration is the same as a
standard Internet connection, albeit "wierd" netmask settings because we
get a small subnet.
I haven't tried getting pppoe working because I don't need it.
Masquerading also works without MTU modifications. The ADSL modem I got is
a Nokia M5122, and is called an ADSL bridge. :)
"Very happy"
--> Jijo
