Guys, I have an AOpen 52x CD-ROM Drive and an Acer CD-Writer both IDE. Those 2 drives are detected and seen in /mnt. When I run HardDrake (I'm using Linux Mandrake 8) my AOpen CD-ROM Drive is detected as ATAPI/IDE with UNKNOWN manufacturer and my Acer CD-Writer is detected as ATAPI/SCSI as Acer as manufacturer. Why is it that when I tried to use 3 different CD-ROM burner (X-CDRoast, GCombust, GnomeBurner - I think, I forgot the package name), my AOpen CD-ROM is not detected and only my CD-Writer?
