Web-based? You can install OWA (Outlook Web Access) on a member server or on
the Exchange server perse.
Features?
STANDARD FEATURES
- It has calendar request (accept and reject meetings)
- 3 mail formats (HTML, Rich Text, Plain Text). I guess, most of mail client
support this feature
- GAL (Global Address List) can obtain all the list of emails on your
corporate wide network (domain based)
- Offline folders
- Organize incoming mails. Could be filter through mailfrom, to or subject
- Public folders. It's just like windows explorer inside your Outlook client
but it can contain Contacts, Newsgroup & Service Calendar
- Recall message (only within exchange)
- Third party mail add-ons like HP-Openmail
- Third party mail security like PGP. I'm using it right now.
- Others like Journal, Notes and Task are there
- Personal Folders. You can instead deliver the incoming mail right to your
harddrive. Actually, it just transfers the mail from the server to your
personal folders (sa harddisk at sa file, usually ends with .pst)
- OWA, Outlook web access just like normal free web based email (hotmail,
yahoo)
FEATURES THAT USERS WERE NOT ACTUALLY EXPECTING :p
- It knows how to execute VB scripts
- Automatic sending of massive number of mails to GAL
That's all I can say.
