Hi Orly,
#All the boxen will have to have the Informix client-side and a
#properly-setup Informix environment.
That part has already been taken cared off. We already have a single tar
ball (config, tools, WLS, java, etc) that we just plop oven virgin
boxes. Yung isa ko lang talaga ngayon eh yung DBI/DBD.
#Yes, you can copy the $PERLLIB/version/DBI.pm and
#$PERLLIB/version/DBD/Informix.so (better yet, just tar your entire
#PERLLIB) assuming you don't have versioning problems due to different OS
#versions and DLLs.
Our server farms are typically single-OSed.. so alang problem
doon. Actually, I already did it last night.. it worked.. 'was just
really fishing for caveats, and potential issues -- I'm not yet very
comfortable with perl.
Salamat ng marami.
