Hi fellow PLUGgers,

Here is another filesystem comparison test that was done using the Linux
kernel 2.4.5. It compared six filesystems: ext2, ext3, JFS, ReiserFS, XFS
and VFAT for small and large files. Very interesting results!

Some comments:

 o According to the XFS developers the XFS performance could still be
improved by using various mkfs.xfs and mount options to tweak the
filesystem. These are available in the FAQ in the XFS homepage.

 o No comments as of yet from the ReiserFS list.
