Using my untrained pair of ears, I guess that's fine. But not when you're
coupling it with a 6-piece speaker set. There's just no way you can get
TRUE 5.1 with just a stereo source (read as: 2 channels only).
If you have a 6-piece speaker set, then your should at least have a 5.1
channel (5 + low freq for sub) source -- I've only tried Live Platinum 5.1
before.
