Yep, it's done commercially. try www.crutchfield.com. HD's are in GBs! no
need to worry about limited mp3 storage. Most of which comes with built-in
player and LCD display. audio out direct to your amplifier -- plus all the
gizmos you can think of. ;-)
btw, dunno if this things has OS thou, but it's nice to have linux in it.
who knows a device like this will come out with a console port or an
ethernet port for remote manage. ;-) or an ethernet port that you can
drag-drop mp3s files into or ftp-in files. ;-) plus a web interface! -- all
running under linux + samba + ftp + apache + etc.... ;-)
