They're selling 'em at SOS in Pasong Tamo at a low low price of 4,990. All
the monitors were produced between November 1994 and August 1995, so they
are kinda old. 3 month warranty, although full warranty on parts only on
the first month. There are 2 or 3 more left there..
The part number is Sony GDM20D10 Premium Color monitor. I'm using one
right now (thanks Mike! =)
It's glorious!! playing movies with Xine at full-screen (1152x900 or
1280x1024) with zero CPU utilization (thanks to hardware-accelerated
XVideo and XVideo-MotionCompensation in XFree86 4.1.0 is glorious!! =)
I no longer have the problem of "watching movies on your PC is not good
because of the small screen."
I got around the problem of "you can't see the messages while it's
booting" (because the monitor has a limited sync range) by compiling my
kernel with the framebuffer console and setting vga=775 (which is
1280x1024 @ 60Hz, which the monitor can sync to).
Actually I still haven't solved the "how can I see the LILO screen to
select between Windoze and Linux" problem. Oh well..
