This has Been Done (TM) with Netscape 3.x. I have an old copy of
LinuxJournal lying around where it is documented. You do not need to cover
the menus with XPM's that's an ugly kludge (it's not worth dignifying as a
hack  =)

The way to do it is, once your Netscape opens, it opens its home page..
which contains a page with Javascript that opens a new window with no
menus (just window and location bar) and closes the original window. I'm
sure you can find javascript examples of this whenever you visit a porn
site.

BTW the Oracle NC is prolly what you want to look at. No hard disk or
floppy disk, 32MB RAM, 266MHz MediaGX processor, CDROM drive contains
kernel and software (it's Linux based of course) with a 16MB CF card to
store bookmarks and mail (note that CompactFlash is electrically
compatible with IDE). The Oracle NC only costs $199 and although
performance is sluggish thanks to the CDROM drive, you can always add
256MB RAM to it (just P 1,800!!) and Linux disk caching will take care of
the speed issues.

See linuxdevices.com for details.
