that's why i stick with blackbox as my wm and gnome for my desktop.

that's why there are HCL's for both *nixes as one hardware config may run
flawless with linux it doesn't mean it should run flawless also with freebsd
or another *nix.
freebsd, like debian, doesn't go for the latest or bleeding-edge. they like
the tried and tested approach.

never had a problem making FreeBSD as my desktop. then again i know what's
inside my box and they're compat with both *nix.
