No, ASP is NOT based on VB. ASP is a general implementation of ISAPI/IIS
"filters" -- the actual language implementation can be anything.
For example, you can use PerlScript for IIS on NT. So you get ASP
functionality with a Perl scripting language. Or, Apache::ASP on
UNIX/Apache, which is compatible with MS ASP (Request, Response, Session
objects, etc).
I personally use Apache::ASP. Go to http://www.apache-asp.org/ for
details.
