Am at Suntec City to see COMEX 2001 (Computer Expo). Paid
sgd 4.00 for one hour of internet access, but got two hours
(bonus?).
Yes, I have successfully compiled linux-2.4.9 using gcc-3.0.1.
Also compiled glibc-2.2.4 and binutils-2.11.2. All compiles
were successful! At first I thought that gcc-3.0.1 made very fat
executables, so I repeated the linux-2.4.9 compile using
gcc-2.95.3, but the latter made an even fatter kernel!
So I guess that linux-2.4.9 has really gotten big, no matter
what compiler you use.
Sorry, running out of time. Bye for now.
