Hello!

i remember cosnidering pop and imap for the job -- pop
got bumped off 'coz i just didn't like the idea of
downloading mail onto several clients.

imap offered a bit more control, but it's quite the
resource hog.

i just observed how things were done using sendmail
and pine, and just thought that basically you need an
MUA and a place were mail gets delivered, so i asked
myself, why not make the mailbox a shared resource?

Anyways, Mr. Sevilla has highlighted a critical flaw
--the mailbox format. The only client i can think of
that supports mbox format (on win9x) is Netscape
messenger, which i only provides pop and imap.(Man,
that was a waste of time B).
