No, strictly speaking that's not correct. Power is measured in Watts, but
when you do IV where V is AC RMS, you get volt-amperes. The VA rating
includes both the real and imaginary power. The imaginary power, though it
"doesn't exist" (being an imaginary number) can still be measured -- it
contributes to the power factor.
But whatever.. bottom line a PC and 17" monitor only consume <200W (110W
for the monitor, about 90W for the PC.. unless you have a 1GHz Athlon,
which alone dissipates 120W)
