Probably because of differences in standards. Turbo C++ follows ancient
standards whereas G++ 3.x follows the standards for C++ set by ISO last
1998. Kinda like having C++ code compiling and running fine wiht G++ 2.95.x
but not on 2.96 and 3.0.x (believe it or not, 2.96 and 3.0.x are very much
alike).
