#Probably because of differences in standards. Turbo C++ follows ancient
#standards whereas G++ 3.x follows the standards for C++ set by ISO last
#1998. Kinda like having C++ code compiling and running fine wiht G++ 2.95.x
#but not on 2.96 and 3.0.x (believe it or not, 2.96 and 3.0.x are very much
#alike).
#

IMHO I don't think it has to with the standards. If it were, then the
compiler would have flagged an error.. The gcc's C++ lexical analyzer
would have detected any non-standard things use in the code. But in
Federico's case, the code compiled, and built properly. So my initial
guess is there's something wrong in Federico's code.

stay cool.
