Hi everyone,

I've been experiencing difficulty connecting to my server from some
computers. This is tricky because it doesn't happen with connections from
all computers. Also, I can connect to these "problematic" computers via
SSH from my server without any problems.

Here is a transcript of one of the sessions:

-----[ Start ]-----
$ ssh -v -C -l jijo xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
SSH Version OpenSSH-1.2.3, protocol version 1.5.
Compiled with SSL.
debug: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config
debug: Applying options for *
debug: ssh_connect: getuid 1016 geteuid 1016 anon 1
debug: Connecting to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] port 22.
debug: Connection established.
debug: Remote protocol version 2.0, remote software version OpenSSH_2.9p2
debug: Waiting for server public key.
Disconnecting: Bad packet length 1349676916.
debug: Calling cleanup 0x8056840(0x0)
-----[ End ]-----

Note that the computer I'm trying to connect from has an IP address that
does not resolve to a hostname. So from the server (physically) I modified
/etc/hosts.deny to remove the "ALL:PARANOID" line which is by default in
Debian installations. This disallows connections from computers without
reverse lookup.

Anyone know what's wrong?

 --> Jijo
