Found out what was wrong. The client could only support protocol 1 (a
little old). The server (mine) was set to only allow protocol 2 and not
both one and two so things were going wrong. Bit the bullet and re-enabled
both with protocol 2 preferred.
Would anyone know of any major issues with SSH protocol 1?
