If you have the bandwith, download all the Mandrake 8.0 updates
(http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/updates.php3) from one of the Mandrake
mirrors (http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/ftp.php3). Or better yet, get
the latest Mandrake updates CD from Jijo or Rene.

Mandrake 8.0 has an updated kernel Linux 2.4.7-12mdk, USB support on
your Toshiba might work with this kernel.
