How many of those Windows vulnerabilities are instantly fixed, and how
many of those Linux-based ones are instantly fixed?  Gee, I'd be
happier seeing the BugTraq list for Linux with lots of traffic
reporting bugs that are fixed!  Windows may have less, but that
probably just means that there are more exploits that are either
unknown (to the general, law-abiding public that is) or unpatched or
both!  The homogeneity of Windows as opposed to the diversity in Linux
systems also contributes to its better general security.

Note also that the last two worms that targeted Linux systems, the
Ramen and Li0n worms, never had anything close to the impact of Code
Red and Nimda.  Go figure...
