nice... well I guess I haven't hit Perl's scaling limits yet simply because
I don't write large programs :)  (perhaps if I become a software developer
by profession).

well, I think even those in the Perl priesthood acknowledge that it's hard
to scale Perl up.  in which case, Python's competitor could be... Java?

I didn't think I needed to understand Zope code, I was more of, writing
extensions.

Well I am not a web builder either, so I don't know if I can really evaluate
Zope as a development tool.  I know you were asking about this before here
on PLUG, and there was no response;  now I'd say I am considering, but -

- but it seems that to make use of Zope is to embrace its entire philosophy.
