i am sure about most other people. but, in the spirit of the open source
movement all my software, papers and trainings are posted in my website.
the URL is below. i also tend to be shy when it comes to work that is not
complete. so do not expect uncompleted work to be posted. right now, i am
working on a network monitoring tool (i used perl for it). it is a simple
tool that checks the services in a list of servers and warns the administratorvia
email and SMS message if the server is down. i am already done with most
of it.

if somebody is interested in this he/she can email me privately. i could use
some ideas. and if you have features that you need i may integrate them too.

why perl? i wrote the original version is C. i open the sockets myself and
formatted the strings myself. then i realized that it was not worth the effort
and doing it in perl would make it much easier. so i ditched the C version and
ran to perl.

why write my own? most network monitoring packages are non-free or not
entirely free. they come with some pain restrictive licencing. yeeech. this
is why i decided to write my own. other tools i have tried but i did not
subscribe to their design philosophy. hehehe.

why not post the code now? because it ain't even done yet. also i have CVS
for this project. hehehe.
