mentioned something about sendmail and tetchmail ?
| I've got a problem with sendmail/fetchmail. I want to use Pine as my mail
| client and so I activate sendmail using linuxconf (for some reason,
| issuing the command: "sendmail start" doesn't work). The I run a fetchamil script
|that goes:
|
| fetchmail -u <username> -p POP3 helios.iconn.com.ph
|
| I get my mail but then the messages are immediately flushed and I can't find
| them when I run Pine! I'm losing mail this way. Can anyone figure out what's
| wrong? It worked fine before.
why do you need to pass messages retrived by fetchmail on to an smtp
server? pass it directly to your MDA (that'd be procmail).
here's an excerpt of my .fetchmailrc:
poll pop.skyinet.net with proto POP3
user 'POP3ACCOUNT' there
with password 'POP3PASSWORD'
is LOCALACCOUNT here
options fetchall no rewrite stripcr warnings 3600
mda '/usr/bin/procmail -f LOCALACCOUNT -d LOCALACCOUNT'
