Hi everyone, Of those I've been able to get local pricing information on, it looks like Socomec Sicon UPSs are the best buys, with decent support backing them (for the hardware, at least) in the form of CSCI. The only thing left to qualify is Linux support.
In <http://www.socomec.fr/cfml/ouvre.cfm?type=article&code=a_upsvision&langue=2>, Socomec Sicon's UPS Vision monitoring software is supposed to work on any system that is capable of compiling a MIB. What is a MIB? And how do you compile something like this? What does it end up interfacing with? Or does a compiled MIB become an executable binary? Agh, so many questions. But I've seen the specs for the UPS Vision and it's pretty good, with stuff like voltage and load monitoring. I just hope it can work on Linux. :) --> Jijo -- Federico Sevilla III :: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Network Administrator :: The Leather Collection, Inc.
