yeah unfortunately Inquirer slanted the story in such a way ("90% of
mozcom's servers are vulnerable.." "they [mozcom] bragged about their
degrees") that makes us look like fools.
the truth is, the 90% was general, not specific to mozcom. and for the
record, no one, white-hat or not contacted us so we're not in a position
to scorn them. and, i have no degree!! i'd be the last person to brag
about it.
i've seen this sort of subtle mis-quotation in inquirer articles in the
past, since mozcom has figured in more than one IT/legal case. but this
time it's really distressing. read the article. dont you get the feeling
that me and my colleagues are stupid arrogant corporate schmoes?
grr.
