the main loss is time. first of all systems adminstrators like you and me are usually overworked and underpaid. if you crack into a system you added to the headache of the poor systems administrators who are already loaded with work. take for example mozcom, they have competent administrators there. i am sure that the people in PLUG can see that. however, no matter how secure a system is it is never absolutely secure.
