I don't think that's quite true boss. I believe someone has ported GTK+ to the Cygwin environment. Last I heard the port was complete enough for someone to build and run the Gimp under Windows, so I guess the port must be stable enough. Unfortunately, you still need to distribute the cygwin.dll in any case. Mingw32 allows you to build GUI apps under Windows the more traditional way looks like, but you need copies of the header files distributed with the Windows SDK. -- Rafael R.
