That's my problem.  I couldn't get gnokii to work with my 6150.  anybody
tried that setup before?

Same here; I hate the dinky keypad.  So what I do is use xgnokii on my
laptop with my phone attached (data cable via serial line); I use
xgnokii
is send, manage messages, and contact list.  You can even get away
which not using a data cable if you get one of the phones with an IR
port
-- or better yet, you can use a PDA with an IR (with necessary 
software) instead of the PC.  

Phones with IR port can be costly though.  I personally just use a (el
cheapo) freebie phone (Nokia 6190) that came with my subscription.
