So after sorting/editing the initial report #_ i came up with a list of those files which are not installed, called #_ "nosuchfile.lst", looks like this. #_ #_ /bin/aumix-minimal #_ /bin/gettext #_ /bin/ksh #_ /bin/mt #_ /bin/sfxload #_ /bin/zsh #_ /bin/zsh-4.0.2 #_ /etc/conf.linuxconf #_ /etc/named.conf #_ /etc/samba/smb.conf #_ .. #_ .... .... #_ i know scripting/perl can automate the deletion of those lines from #_ twpol.txt but the real problem is i'm just starting to learn #_ scripting :( #_ #_ can anybody help? #_ #_ thnx
You don't have to delete them, just comment them out by puting a # in the begining of the lines. When updating the policy, you have set "-Z low" or "--secure-mode low" so that tripwire will write/save your new policy and database.
