After doing a custom/minimal RH 7.2 installation, i'm stuck
with editing the default twpol.txt that is configured for "full install".
As expected, after initialization and first run of tripwire -m --check
it spewed hundreds of
"File system error.
Filename: /root/.sawfish
No such file or directory"
Now i don't want to go through each line of twpol.txt just to comment or
delete those entries. So after sorting/editing the initial report i came up
with
a list of those files which are not installed, called "nosuchfile.lst",
looks like this.
/bin/aumix-minimal
/bin/gettext
/bin/ksh
/bin/mt
/bin/sfxload
/bin/zsh
/bin/zsh-4.0.2
/etc/conf.linuxconf
/etc/named.conf
/etc/samba/smb.conf
..
.... ....
i know scripting/perl can automate the deletion of those lines from
twpol.txt but the real problem is i'm just starting to learn scripting :(
can anybody help?
thnx
